Baker Tilly is looking for its future lead of our client service accounting department.
The Head of Accounting leads and develops existing teams of accountants, oversees client base of primarily international companies and cooperate with fellow Directors in Tax, Audit and Legal, ensuring meeting our customers’ needs in line with Baker Tilly values and high quality standards. He/she shall run the department on a daily basis as well as setting and controlling budgets, timetables, cash flows and targets.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Be a team player, support and develop the members of the team
- Ensure submission of deliverables within agreed timeframe and quality standards
- Identify, assess, and mitigate corporate risks
- Maintain business relationships with existing customers, external associates and governmental authorities
- Actively engage in business development activities, aiming to increase reputation as well as knowledge of the firm on the market and expand its network and customer base
- Writes articles, participate to conferences and webinars and organize trainings internally and externally
Requirements
- Bachelor’s and/or Master Degree in Accounting & Finance, Economics, or related field
- Demonstrated experience in accounting and good knowledge of tax legislation, as well as managerial experience/skills
- Holder of a related professional qualification (CECCAR is a must)
- Experience in working with international clients
- Business development and strong negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is compulsory, other languages an asset – French, German
